Role : Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite near Syracuse, NY

Duration : 1 year with possible extensions

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5 years in plastic injection molding, ideally within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry

Education: Bachelor's degree in polymer engineering or a related field preferred, but extensive experience can substitute for formal education

Skills:

Project management experience or technical SME role in project teams

Understanding of process development, procurement, and validation

Familiarity with metrology equipment (CMM, conventional methods, CT scan, etc.)

Ability to oversee and critique suppliers' validation processes

Oversee project development from process creation through procurement of parts and equipment

Validate processes and provide feedback to suppliers

Ensure regulatory compliance and challenge suppliers when necessary

Medical device or pharma experience is essential due to regulatory complexities

Experience in regulated environments (e.g., automotive) may be considered, but medical device expertise is preferred
