Atlas Management is hiring a Sr. Network Engineer for a major corporation in the Nashville, Tn area. This role is hybrid for an experienced Sr. Network Engineer to be a part of a thriving IT team that is a significant part of the growth and development of the organization in the aviation industry.

Sr. Network Engineer

$60.00 - $66.00 per hour

Monday - Friday, 8a- 5p (Flexible)

Hybrid

Contract with opportunity for permanent

Summary of Responsibilities & information on tasks/projects that will be assigned:

  • Formulates, defines, and designs network project changes, scopes, and objectives based on business needs Provides technical support network environment by identifying network requirements, installing network components, maintaining upgrades and monitoring network performance.
  • Identify, track, and manage upgrades to network assets and infrastructure; this includes switches, routers, firewalls, modems, fiber optic cables, wireless access points, network cables.
  • Configure, maintain, and update local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) documentation
  • A thorough understanding of Local Area Networking (Rapid PVST, Multi Chassis EtherChannel, VPC, VRRP, VSS, spanning-tree, trunking, SVI, etc.)
  • A thorough understanding of network routing protocols (BGP, EIRGP, and OSPF). o Designs, sets up and configures complex switching environments utilizing Cisco IRS routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, and IOS systems with a firm understanding of hierarchical network infrastructures.
  • Knowledge and use of tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine, and Wireless LAN controllers
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with wired and wireless network, and virtual local area networks (VLANS) Follow a formal change control process to document hardware and software requirements related to system and network changes.
  • Evaluates network topology and establish plans for network resilience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional at a minimum
  • At least 7 years of network experience
  • Bachelor's Degree desired
  • Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto network firewall experience desired
  • Experience with planning and implementing SD-Access desired
