Sr Project Manager Apply
We have an immediate opportunity with one of our key clients for a position of Sr. Project Manager, to work in New York, NY.
Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr on C2C
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex IT and engineering projects within the retail industry, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Actively guide and move project teams towards improved planning and delivery outcomes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, adapting approaches as needed to suit the project scope and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear alignment on project goals, timelines, and dependencies.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring successful collaboration and project delivery across highly matrixed teams spanning multiple time zones.
- Conduct assessments of team performance and implement inspect & adapt practices to continuously enhance ways of working.
- Provide leadership in building and implementing Agile methodologies, particularly in start-up environments, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption.
Required:
- 15-20 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in IT/Engineering.
- Retail Industry: Proven experience in managing projects within the retail industry.
- Methodologies: Practical experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, including roles as a Scrum Master/Project Manager.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to over-communicate and radiate information across stakeholder and vertical teams.
- Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendors and collaborating with them on successful project delivery.
- Global Teams: Experience managing highly matrixed project teams across multiple time zones.
Preferred:
- Point of Sale (POS): Experience with projects related to Point of Sale systems.
- Technology Projects: Experience managing both large and small technology projects with a track record of successful delivery.
- Agile Implementation: Experience in building and implementing Agile methodologies in a start-up environment.
