Sr. Public Accountant

Location Des Plaines, IL 60019 Hybrid Role Onsite and a couple of days off site

Salary 90K -110K depending on experience, excellent benefits

Key points:

3 plus years of experience someone straight from the Top public accounting firms first or second tier ( KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, EY, RSM, BDO, Crowe, Grant Thorton etc. or someone with a CPA OR will be getting a CPA in the near future with corporate accounting, supporting monthly corporate close, consolidation process, general ledger including cash, fixed assets, payables, inventory, accruals / reserves, debt, allocations, insurance.

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analytics.

Implements processes and controls to ensure compliance.

Provides SEC Reporting support as needed.

Experience with ERP systems is strongly preferred. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Big 4 accounting, large US public company or manufacturing experience a plus.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's Degree in Accounting or MBA preferred, CPA preferred

Responsibilities:

Role will have high visibility with a broad exposure working with Corporate / Treasury Accounting areas.

Support month and year end corporate closes.

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analytics.
