This role collaborates with junior developers and leads code reviews as part of the software development lifecycle. Job Summary Senior Software Application Developer maintains an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform and programming languages. The incumbent aligns with coding standards and best practices during design and development, troubleshoots issues and solves problems independently, and follows IT processes. This role focuses on the design and development of Salesforce solutions and will assist junior developers and conduct periodic code reviews. Responsibilities Actively participate in workshops with IT business analysts and other stakeholders during requirements and software design phases Analyze and evaluate requirements for completeness and feasibility; estimate scope of work for the project lifecycle and translate it to technical design Involved in architecting Salesforce solutions with the Manager or Lead Developer Stay current on emerging industry trends, latest processes, and IT advancements to automate and modernize applications and systems Develop code based on requirements and/or user stories, of diverse scope and complexities Perform demos of Salesforce product features incrementally to stakeholders to ensure alignment Involved in code testing and deployments to ensure successful implementation of features Work with cross-functional teams at all levels, communicate with stakeholders and drive project delivery Understand and comply with established departmental processes and procedures to support internal controls; identify and report internal controls deficiencies Attributes Education: Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology/Computer Science) or equivalent in a related field is typically preferred. Years of experience: 6-9 years of related professional work experience may be preferred to complete all essential job functions. Other unique job-relevant attributes: Working knowledge of Salesforce platforms/languages and cloud technologies Deep understanding of SDLC, software methodologies and processes Ability to prioritize work and effectively execute development tasks Proven positive results on medium to large-sized projects Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills Highly self-motivated with outstanding customer relationship skills Excellent judgment and ability to work independently and collaboratively with others Good organization skills and accountability Thorough understanding of software coding standards and best practices Scope/Contribution Breadth of Scope: Has specialized depth and/or breadth in own discipline or function. Represents the function as a subject matter expert. The scope is typical across multiple functional areas or work teams and may be part of a large functional area or enterprise-wide. Typically performs significant coordination and interaction with many other functions. The impact is generally limited to the functional area(s) supported but may vary. Communications and Interpersonal Skills: Regularly communicates in writing and verbally with a broad range of internal and external contacts. Information exchanged requires advanced knowledge; significant influence and persuasion are likely with internal colleagues and leaders. May mentor less experienced staff.
