Work closely with applied scientists to optimize the performance of machine‑learning models and infrastructure, and implement end‑to‑end solutions. About The Team The SPB Ad Response Prediction team is a highly motivated, collaborative, and fun‑loving team with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with a strong background in machine learning engineering to help us grow the business. In this role, you will partner with a team of engineers and scientists to build advanced machine learning models and infrastructure, from training to inference, including emerging LLM‑based systems, that deliver highly relevant ads to shoppers across all Amazon platforms and surfaces worldwide. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent EEO Statement Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
