Sr Software Developer

Motion Industries is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. In this senior-level role, you will focus on developing and enhancing features within the Supply Chain domain of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and resolving software issues, developing new applications based on approved designs, and maintaining system integrity.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, healthcare coverage, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave.Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.ResponsibilitiesDevelop software applications based on approved designPerform basic problem resolution analysis and correctionCorrect system problems as directed by managerEnsure projects are delivered on time and according to specificationsUse standard coding techniques to ensure application performance meets requirementsWork as part of a team for most projectsQualificationsTypically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.Proven experience with structured application development and change control processesStrong background in object-oriented analysis and designSolid understanding of database design, programming languages, and coding best practicesMinimum of 5 years of enterprise application development experience, with a demonstrated history of delivering Java-based solutions for organizations with revenues exceeding $1 billionFamiliarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and version control tools such as GitExperience deploying applications in cloud environmentsGood understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and KanbanTechnical Skills:Proficient in Java and JavaScriptStrong skills in code and system documentationExperience working within Agile/Scrum frameworksVersion control expertise with GitPreferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud development platformsUnit testing experience using JUnit and JasmineFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or Jira for project trackingExperience with Azure DevOps PipelinesKnowledge of DB2 SQLNot the right fit?
