The Senior Software Developer - API Integration role is an on-site hybrid role, located in Creve Coeur, MO. This role is key to modernizing the bank’s technology by replacing legacy workflow systems and establishing a scalable, secure standard for automation across the organization. The work directly improves efficiency, reduces risk, and enables faster delivery of business capabilities. Position Summary We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who can lead the transition from legacy workflows to modern, automated solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure. Key Responsibilities This role is heavily focused on: Building model-driven Power Apps and workflows Developing API-based integrations between systems Designing cloud-native solutions in Azure Workflow Modernization (Primary Focus) Replace legacy workflow systems with model-driven Power Apps and Power Automate solutions Design and implement standardized automation patterns across the bank Build scalable, reusable workflows using Dataverse and Power Platform Partner with business teams to streamline and automate critical processes API & Integration (Critical) Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations Connect internal systems and third-party platforms securely and reliably Perform data mapping and transformation across systems Build and support solutions in Microsoft Azure Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments Use Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage environments Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and observable What You Bring Strong experience building Power Apps (model-driven) and Power Automate workflows Proven ability to design and deliver API integrations (REST/JSON) Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Ability to simplify complex processes into efficient automated solutions Nice to Have Experience in regulated industries (banking, finance) Familiarity with ServiceNow or RPA tools Exposure to SharePoint What We Value Practical experience delivering real automation outcomes, not certifications A focus on standardization, scalability, and simplicity Ability to drive change and modernize legacy processes Qualifications, Competencies and Skills What You Need for this Position Minimum of five years software development experience Hands-on software trouble-shooting experience. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Compensation Disclosure The range for this role takes into account many factors that First Bank considers when making hiring decisions, including but not limited to prior experience, skill set, training, and other internal business and organizational factors. The range is driven by the geographic location of the anticipated hiring location; however, the specific range may vary depending on the geographic location for remote positions. Compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each hiring instance. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is $110,000 - $130,000 per year.
