ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for a 100% on-site, direct-hire role in Frisco, TX. Ideally, we are seeking a Senior-level Engineer with a demonstrated proficiency with React and Ruby on Rails in an AWS environment. The Sr. Software Engineer will lead technical initiatives and ensure optimal performance across our products, systems, and services. This role focuses on driving excellence and innovation in software engineering while fostering collaboration across teams. This role includes 30% to 50% hands-on coding and technical review responsibilities.

• Oversee the technical delivery and quality of the team’s work, continuously enhancing strategies and processes based on industry best practices.
• Explore emerging technologies and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead peer reviews of technical designs to align teams on effective solutions to complex challenges.
• Optimize application and system performance, reliability, and observability.
• Organize technical training sessions to help team members adopt new skills and grow professionally.
• Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and sustainable delivery of solutions that meet business objectives.
• Cultivate a collaborative and dynamic engineering culture that reflects the organization’s core value

• Software development across various technologies, such as web applications, APIs, mobile development, and cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated technical proficieny building web applications with React, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, Flutter, and AWS
• TDD (Test-Driven Development) - Implementing / Leading Test-Driven Development (TDD) 
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and systems is preferred.
