Summary:
Seeking a Senior System Engineer and Tester to join the Engineering, Delivery & Mobile Technology team, supporting a customer-focused environment. The role involves overseeing the SDLC process, conducting technology evaluations, developing requirements, implementing technical solutions, and ensuring software and hardware technologies are tested and certified prior to release. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, software quality assurance, and project management.

• Location: 8403 Lee Highway, Merrifield, VA 22031
• Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days in office and 3 days remote)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the SDLC process, including analysis, design, implementation, QA, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain project plans, assign resources, set milestones, and mitigate risks.
• Interface with customer groups to gather business needs and provide technical solutions.
• Coordinate testing and deployment activities with local and remote teams, ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Synthesize customer requirements into system test solutions, including test plans and procedures.
• Conduct system-level evaluations, software inspections, and validation to meet reliability standards.
• Ensure compliance of project and process documentation with requirements and objectives.
• Manage iterations of system design, implementation, and feature deployment.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 9+ years of experience in systems engineering and software development.
• Experience:
• Proficient in analyzing and developing software requirements and conducting software testing.
• Strong experience in quality assurance processes in a software development environment.
• Proficiency with SQL and Oracle SQL Developer.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and project management methodologies
