divh2Senior Tax Accountant/h2pClient is a highly reputable and growing CPA firm located on the Nassau/Suffolk border in Long Island./ppDue to growth, they are currently looking for a full-time Senior Tax Accountant responsible for performing tax and accounting work as assigned./ph3Main Responsibilities:/h3ulliManage multiple engagements to meet client deliverables/liliWork collaboratively with all levels of staff on client engagements/liliReview complex and multi-state corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual income tax returns/liliTax preparation responsibility for the more complex tax returns, as needed/lili1040s, 1041s, 1120s, 1065s/liliUnderstanding of Estate and Trusts/liliFinancial planning for high-net-worth individuals (estates, gifting, IRA)/liliManage resolving tax notices and examinations with government agencies/liliPerform tax research and training on various related topics/liliYear-end tax projections/strategies for quarterly estimates tax planning/liliOversee and manage workflow and client relationships/liliSupervise staff accountants on multiple engagements simultaneously, and evaluate their progress/liliTrain and mentor staff accountants/liliProvide educational client-focused communications and webinars, as needed/liliPossess strong technical taxation skills and the ability to form strong client relationships/li/ulh3Main Requirements Qualifications:/h3ulli3 to 5+ years of public accounting experience leading multiple engagements/liliCPA preferred/required with diversified tax background/liliFinancial Assurance / Audit work experience is a plus./liliWorking knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement and QuickBooks/liliTeam player with leadership and staff development skills/liliEffective communicator with problem solving and analytical abilities/liliStrong organizational and time management skills/li/ulpClient is highly reputable.
