Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership: Manage monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds/NetPath) ensuring stability, upgrades, patching, and daily support.
• Network Monitoring: Handle SNMP polling, traps, device onboarding, and visibility; ensure new sites/devices are integrated.
• Systems Administration: Support Linux & Windows (agent deployment, OS troubleshooting, monitoring/logging setup) across on-prem and Azure environments.
• Observability & Event Management: Work with tools like Datadog/Dynatrace; maintain integrations, improve alert quality, and reduce noise.
• Cloud & Azure Monitoring: Support Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and observability for cloud workloads.
• SIEM & Security (Nice to have): Basic exposure to Azure Sentinel/Cribl; assist with log ingestion and security monitoring needs.
• Automation & Improvement: Use scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash), Dev workflows (GitHub), and AI-assisted features to enhance operations.
• Knowledge Transfer & Support: Maintain documentation, support transitions, and participate in on-call rotations.

Must Have:

• 4 5 years in infrastructure/monitoring/platform operations
• Strong Linux & Windows sysadmin experience (incl. monitoring agents)
• Networking fundamentals (SNMP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, telemetry)
• Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.)
• Azure/cloud monitoring basics (logs, metrics, integrations)
• Incident/event management understanding
• Scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
• Experience with GitHub & Dev workflows (CI/CD, PRs, etc.)
• Strong communication & collaboration skills

Good to Have:

• SIEM exposure (Azure Sentinel, Cribl)
• Azure AD & hybrid cloud knowledge
• Agile/SAFe experience
• StruxureWare or similar platforms
• Enterprise change management experience
