Responsibilities:

• Oversee activities related to monitoring, administering, and ensuring the recoverability of and adherence to VMWare standards (policies, something along those lines).
• Manage technical infrastructure and application environments.
• Manage and monitor the capture and virtualization of production data.
• Manage the evaluation of server implementations that capture virtualization requirements.
• Ensure STIGs are correctly implemented to secure the virtualization infrastructure.
• Manage the encryption infrastructure for the hardware environment.
• Manage, design, plan, build, configure, and maintain the virtual server infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least one of the following certifications is desired:
  • VMWare Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization
  • VMWare Certified Advanced Professional Data Center Virtualization

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with the following:
  • Identity and Access Management.
  • VMWare vSphere version 6 and higher
  • VMWare vCenter
  • VMware vRealize Suite Cloud Management Platform
  • VMWare Continuous Data Protection
  • DBaaS in VMWare Cloud
  • VMware Aria Suite
  • VMWare Cloud Platform
  • VMWare NSX
  • Familiarity with SAN solutions, ideally Dell EMC VNX
  • Experience with backup solutions, ideally Cohesity and Netbackup

EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's degree in business or IT related field with five (5) or more years of experience in determining information technology effects on the organizational structure and determining the ability that IT can support/meet organizational goals.

A master's degree and 3+ years of experience or a PhD and 0+ years of experience may be substituted.
