St Shift Painter Apply
Position Overview:
The Painter is responsible for applying water-based and solvent-based primers to nuts, bolts, screws, and other hardware components. This position requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to strict aerospace industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply various water and solvent-based primers using spray guns, brushes, or other equipment as required.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, and inspecting components.
- Mix primers to the correct consistency and ensure proper application.
- Monitor drying and curing processes to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect painted parts to ensure even coating and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper ventilation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in industrial or aerospace painting preferred.
- Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based coatings and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and handling of hazardous materials is a plus.
