Overview Recruiting Manager | Specializing in Diverse Talent Acquisition Across Multiple Industries Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and dependable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Accounting or Finance, or a candidate with up to two years of accounting experience. The Staff Accountant will support the daily operations of the accounting department, assist with month-end close processes, and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records across various business entities. Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Note: Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Record and reconcile financial transactions in accounting systems, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities Assist with audit preparation and respond to inquiries from auditors Prepare and analyze financial reports for management as needed Ensure accuracy in financial data related to restaurants, rental properties, hotels, and charitable organizations (experience in these areas is a plus) Manage accounting data using QuickBooks Desktop and Excel (including spreadsheets with macros when needed) Perform ad hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Recent college graduate or up to 2 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred) Experience with industry-specific accounting for restaurants, rental properties, hotels, and/or nonprofit organizations is a plus Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Familiarity with Office 365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field Additional Details Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing Industries: Staffing and Recruiting and Accounting Get notified about new Accountant jobs in Chadds Ford, PA .
