Staff Accountant Apply
Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc. (REL) is seeking to hire a full-time, highly motivated Staff Accountant to support the firm’s accounting and financial operations. This position will work closely with accounting leadership and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable standards. The Staff Accountant will gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of accounting functions while being supported by experienced colleagues. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Prepare and file sales tax returns Follow up on past‑due receivables from clients and track collection efforts Reconcile monthly credit card statements Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes Backup for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing activities Backup for Payroll preparation and payroll tax payments Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–4 years of accounting or related professional experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience in professional services, engineering, or consulting environments Experience with Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint Office‑based work environment Regular communication with internal teams across the organization Why Join REL At Robert E.
