Job Summary The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain the financial records of the organization. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for accounting, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, financial reporting, payroll, and budget preparation. The role requires a professional attitude and independent judgment and initiative, based on familiarity with the organization and accounting practices and procedures. Responsibilities Perform corporate and cost accounting, including maintaining accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll recording, bank reconciliations, and inventory control. Generate monthly financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. Responsible for tax accounting throughout the fiscal year, including sales and tax returns. Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audits. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and other selected accounts. Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit. Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems and recommend updates to enhance the accounting software. Maintain strict adherence to company policies and confidentiality agreements. Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and management. Perform other duties as directed or assigned to meet the needs of the department. Skills and Qualifications Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. D365 Business Central is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software including CE/CRM D365. Extremely strong computer skills and able to adapt quickly to new applications. Good organizational skills and ability to multitask. Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical skills. Educational and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required. Three years or more of related experience required. Relevant healthcare industry experience preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
