Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Progress OpenEdge Engineer to join our innovative Tech Services team. This is a permanent, full-time position for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, efficient solutions. Responsibilities: As a Sr. Progress OpenEdge Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Progress OpenEdge applications, programs, and databases. 2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and propose effective solutions. 3. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members. 4. Managing the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. 5. Ensuring all software solutions align with architectural standards and business objectives. 6. Conducting system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex software issues. 7. Staying updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain current and competitive. Qualifications: To be considered for the Sr. Progress OpenEdge Engineer position, candidates must meet the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Progress OpenEdge. 3. Solid domain knowledge in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments. 4. Proficiency in Progress 4GL/ABL, AppServer, WebSpeed, and other Progress technologies. 5. Experience with database design, SQL, and data modeling. 6. Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. 7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions. 8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 9. Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members. 10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
