Staff Accountant Apply
Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Staff Accountant based in Neptune, NJ . A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law . Position Overview Reporting into the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for all corporate accounting functions. The Staff Accountant will be expected to work cross functionally with multiple lines of business including Finance and Shared Services. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and post journal entries Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Compile and analyze financial reports Support accounts payable and receivable functions Maintain documentation for audits and compliance Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies Participate in process improvement initiatives Required Experience/Skills Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience/Skills Experience with ERP systems Prior exposure to financial audits Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards Advanced Excel skills Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field If eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
