Everline Resort & Spa has multiple lines of business including Resort Operations, Property Management, HOA management, and Property Development. The Staff Accountant is expected to audit daily transactions related to the Point of Sale system postings and documents for accuracy, and to prepare a daily distribution of reports. During the month, the staff accountant will generate statements for our HOA members and send out payments to our Property Management clients. This position is primarily responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. Benefits Discounted Palisades Tahoe Ski Pass Food & beverage, retail, and spa discounts Free rentals on ski gear, ice skates, nordic skiing, and golf course access Discounted rooms at Hyatt and CoralTree Properties Group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits Participation in a pre‑tax flexible benefit plan for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement An employee assistance program Paid time off/sick time Participation in a 401(k) plan with a company match Responsibilities Customer Service Respond to inquiries from our owners, guests, clients, and vendors Point of Sales Systems Audit all point of sale systems daily for accuracy and completeness Verify allowances and miscellaneous postings/adjustments for proper authorization and coding Investigate discrepancies and develop procedures to eliminate them Print, verify accuracy, and distribute daily revenue reports Prepare and post journal entries Communicate with outlets about questions or problems related to posting that may affect the creation of the sales journals Property Management / HOA Systems Record payments Provide shared service and amenity backup and documentation to HOA Issue owner statements Respond to owners’ inquiries in a timely manner Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements Follow‑up and resolve past‑due accounts Complete period‑end closing procedures and reports Maintain a strong working knowledge of property management and point of sale systems Qualifications Extremely detailed and accurate Excellent organizational skills Ability to work autonomously Ability to multi‑task and meet strict deadlines Excellent phone etiquette Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English Ability to work well under pressure Ability to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and in writing Excellent communication skills Professional in appearance and demeanor Strong problem‑solving skills Ability to work with multiple systems Effective communication with departmental managers, guests, and other associates Ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests Education And/or Experience High School graduate or GED College‑level accounting classes preferred Accounting degree a plus Hospitality experience a plus Two years of accounting or related field experience Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 10 lbs, occasionally lifting 25 lbs. Bending and moving intermittently. Use fingers to grasp, move, or type. Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or reach. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work in an indoor environment with a generally low noise level. Typical equipment used includes computers, POS systems, handheld devices, phones, and household cleaning supplies.
