Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is essential for supporting the accounting department in achieving operational efficiency and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Vendor and customer setup and management. Customer collections and backup for customer billing. Accounts receivable operations and backup for accounts payable operations. Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation. Monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger analysis and balance sheet reconciliation. Prepare and post journal entries for routine and month-end close activities. Research discrepancies and recommend resolutions. Monthly reporting for month-end close and ad-hoc reports. Maintain and report on fixed assets. Responsible for the financial aspect of inventory management, including cycle counts and inventory reporting. Account tracking of customer warranties and credits issued in consultation with the sales team. Perform general, administrative, and variance analysis, as needed. Partner with Controller on month-end close, monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. Support interim and annual financial statement audits. File state and local taxes as needed. Recommend best practices and process improvement and drive projects to completion. Maintain a well-organized financial data and document warehouse. Create and keep updated documentation of key financial processes. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required 3+ years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry Must have excellent proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced user). Intermediate to advance MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, etc.) Experience reviewing sales/commission reports Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Very organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time Ability to work independently and with a team Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Consistently demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills Working Conditions Physical Demand(s): Can lift up to 20lbs, sitting for extended periods of time. Visual Demand(s): Must be able to look at a computer monitor for extended periods.
