Staff Accountant Apply
Job TitleCore ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts.Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting & analysis for assigned functional areas.Track capital project spending and related depreciation, create capital expenditure authorizations, capitalize assets, generate related reporting, and manage audit requests.Research and resolve divisional inquiries from corporate or external partners.Assist with the preparation, coordination and tracking of information and schedules supporting monthly outlooks, the Annual Plan (AP), and the Long Range Plan (LRP).Participate in the development, enhancement, and monitoring of company internal controls.Ensure company policies are being followed as well as implementation of new controls as they arise.Provide financial support for various special projects including cost analysis, internal/external audits, sales/use tax audits, manufacturing surveys and other ad-hoc requests.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent advanced degree.Minimum of 1-3 years of Accounting or Finance experience preferredAdvanced MS Excel skill, Power BI or similar database experienceWorking knowledge of ERP systems, financial report writers, business intelligence systemsStrong business communication and excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights and recommendationsCollaborative and highly communicative, self-directed with high orientation to teamworkManufacturing experience preferredWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
