Staff Accountant SAP Implementation (Onsite, Miami)

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Staff Accountants with hands-on SAP implementation experience to support a large-scale ERP transition for our client. This is an ongoing, project-based assignment that plays a key role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations while supporting system implementation, testing, and process optimization. Candidates must hold an active CPA license or be actively working toward CPA completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for management review.
• Actively support the SAP implementation, including system testing, data validation, reconciliation, and workflow reviews.
• Partner with accounting, finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data migration and system integration.
• Assist in documenting new accounting processes and identifying control gaps during the ERP transition.
• Support parallel processing between legacy systems and SAP to ensure continuity and accuracy throughout implementation.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements post-implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification required.
• Hands-on SAP implementation experience required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and close processes.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience supporting accounting operations during ERP or system transitions.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Miami (33126).
• Comfortable working in a contract/ongoing assignment environment.
