CV Resources is partnering with an exciting client in the construction space near Tacoma, WA to identify a Staff Accountant for a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Our client, a growing road construction company backed by a strong parent organization, is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a small business environment and enjoys being close to the action.

Location: Sumner, WA (Onsite)
Compensation: $70,000–$77,000 annually

• Manage and process accounts payable (AP), including high-volume invoice entry and vendor communications
• Assist with job costing and project-based accounting
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Support month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with account reconciliations
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience
• Background in a small business or lean accounting environment preferred
• Experience in construction accounting or job costing strongly preferred
• Strong accounts payable experience required
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams
