Locations: Huntsville, Hartselle, and Decatur Status: Full-Time Function The Staff Development Trainer is responsible for researching, implementing, monitoring and maintaining all aspects of employee training for each position in the program. This position is also responsible for analysis of data and relating this information to Regional Directors in order to contribute to the continuous development of staff improvement in the quality of services provided by the Organization. Know How The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, demonstrated knowledge in the field of adult training and program requirements. Must be eligible for QDDP on call as needed. A high level of skill in human relations and effective communication is required. A background in computer operations is needed. the ability to work without direct supervision, and knowledge of general office procedures. Responsibilities Coordinate and provide training as required for each position. Implement and coordinate core curriculum for each position. Identify appropriate training modules for each position. Secure and maintain training programs for each position. Coordinate and disseminate information regarding on going training opportunities. Insure all new employees complete core curriculum for their position within the given time frame. Coordinate training courses necessary for staff to maintain certifications (CPR, First Aid, CPI etc). Coordinate Policy/Procedure reviews and training (incident reporting, abuse/neglect policies, personnel policies, respect, rights etc).Provide reports on training proficiency, needs and schedules. Maintain training database for each employee. Assist with certification and Accreditation regulations/Requirements Complete Medicaid and QDDP required documents/Duties Perform administrative duties and office management duties as needed Assume any other duties as assigned by the Regional Services Director Effect on End Result A well-trained and knowledgeable staff provides quality services. Staff training meets the compliance standards of regulatory and monitoring agencies. Enhanced quality and efficiency of programs. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or employees.
