Role Overview The Vertical Applications team builds web applications that bring the power of ZMP to specific industries – Healthcare, Political, Retail, and more. You’ll own applications end‑to‑end, partnering with product owners to define problems, design, build, ship, and operate them with clean, simple architectures and test‑first development. AI‑assisted development tools are embedded in the workflow. What You’ll Do Own vertical web applications from idea to production – working closely with product owners, designing the architecture, building it, shipping it, and running it. Architect backend services (Python, Java, Ruby, Node.js) with a focus on simplicity and reusability. Build polished frontend experiences in React/TypeScript/Ant Design. Ship continuously through CI/CD with observability, resilience, and reliability. Use AI‑assisted development tools to increase velocity and quality. Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into vertical applications. Collaborate across teams – mentor fellow engineers, lead technical initiatives, and provide clarity for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of software engineering with ownership experience. Deep proficiency in at least two of Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js, and solid skills in React/TypeScript. Experience with continuous delivery, test‑driven development, agile, and shift‑left practices. Ability to build and operate scalable, distributed, high‑performance systems in multi‑tenant, compliant environments. Proficiency with AI‑assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, or similar). Strong communicator who works closely with product owners and builds consensus. Enthusiasm for learning new domains and collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Nice to Have Experience in MarTech or AdTech (DSPs, bid‑stream processing, data‑intensive platforms).
