Summary:
-
Transition new products from design into low-rate and full-scale production
-
Bridge design intent with manufacturing execution across mechanical and electrical disciplines
-
Develop and release work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing routers
-
Design, build, and implement production and test jigs/fixtures
-
Partner with design engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams to support scalable product launches
Requirements:
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible for Export Authorization and DoD clearance if required
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
-
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
-
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
-
Strong mechanical and electrical engineering foundation
-
Experience creating work instructions, SOPs, and routers
-
Hands-on experience designing electro-mechanical production and test fixtures
-
Support DFM and DFT initiatives
-
Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assembly and test processes
-
Establish efficient workflows for low- and high-volume production
-
Strong cross-functional communication skills
-
Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks and Visio preferred)
-
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for BOM and router management
-
Ability to stand, climb, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs; movement between departments and worksites required
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
-
Knowledge of IPC standards and AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards
-
Experience with PCB assembly, harness builds, and electromechanical assemblies
-
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
-
Hands-on shop floor experience with prototype builds and process validation
-
Exposure to automation or semi-automation environments
