Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Pharmacist position is available within a healthcare system serving multiple pharmacy locations, including a large medical center, a hospital, and an infusion center. This role requires flexibility to float between the three sites, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across diverse settings. Shifts will vary based on location and may include 8- and 10-hour shifts, swing shifts, every other weekend coverage, and holiday rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently across multiple pharmacy sites.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage hazardous medications, including compounding chemotherapy agents, following stringent safety protocols.
- Utilize pharmacy information systems, with Cerner experience preferred; training will be provided if needed.
- Adapt to varying workflows at the medical center, hospital, and infusion pharmacy.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide clinical support and counseling to patients when necessary.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid pharmacist license with the ability to practice in the state.
- Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings preferred.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn the Cerner pharmacy system.
- Comfort and experience working with hazardous drug handling and chemotherapy compounding.
- Ability and willingness to travel between multiple pharmacy locations within the medical system.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Local candidates preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time
- 8-hour and 10-hour shifts depending on location
- Swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage required
