Job Summary As a Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiology, you will supervise patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. You will also ensure secure patient travel, help prevent issues, follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act, and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
Essential Functions Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
Create, implement, and evaluate care plans, adjusting them to achieve desired outcomes.
Build therapeutic relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism with patients and families.
Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members, empowering them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
Assess and document learning needs regularly; collaborate with colleagues and community to refine care plans.
Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
Apply problem‑solving strategies with patients, families, and staff; recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Contribute to teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth, and support peers’ development.
Demonstrate commitment to community service.
Qualifications Specialized field of study: Nursing.
Minimum 2 years of RN experience; Cardiac Rehab or strong cardiac experience preferred.
Current RN license.
BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.
