Job Description and Duties

The Staff Services Manager (SSM) II has full management and supervisory responsibility over the Community Awareness, Response, and Engagement (CARE) Team Specialists, in addition to the Special Projects Coordinator (Exempt). The SSM II will supervise, plan, and organize the work of the Specialists, all of which have statewide community outreach and engagement responsibilities in a variety of Attorney General initiative areas including criminal justice reform, racial justice, environmental justice, hate crimes, and consumer protection. The SSM II will seek, develop, and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and organizations and collaborate with other Executive programs and Executive Office staff. The SSM II will also ensure that all of CAREs projects and events are executed within budget constraints, and align with the programs purpose and intent.
