About this Role:
The Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) in the Office of Tribal Affairs, has the primary responsibility for the development, implementation, coordination, operation, and evaluation of the American Indian Health Program for the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The SSM II is also directly responsible for supervision of staff in the Indian Health Program including planning, organizing, staffing, overseeing, and directing the activities of staff within the Unit. Addresses interested parties and represents the Department at meetings sometimes requiring overnight travel. This will be five percent or less of the time.

  • Describe, in detail, your experience and knowledge of coordinating health services and interacting with Federal, State, and local officials, local Indian health projects, tribal leaders, State/national Indian health organizations, universities, professional associations, private, and voluntary agencies and organizations.

  • Describe, in detail, your experience and knowledge of writing papers and articles for publication and dissemination.

Telework Information

Non-Exempt Positions:

This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in-person and site-based a minimum of two days per week.
