Position Summary CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Downers Grove, IL: Staff Software Development Engineer to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: analyzing user needs and developing software solutions to meet business requirements; determining feasibility of solutions design and preparing technical design documentation; upgrading existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; developing and deploying application components, and supporting unit testing and bug fixes; participating in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; supporting applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborating with cross‑functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Independently lead development of solutions with high complexity and risk. Multiple positions. CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps Java, Python, or Node.js XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone Java or J2EE REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra database Docker or Kubernetes JIRA, Rally, or Confluence Software development lifecycle (SDLC) Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting Pay Range $153,317.00/year to $260,590.00/year. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range and includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
