Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) is the frontline owner of quality engineering process for Consumer Digital + Platform organization. We provide standardized process and tools to enhance the quality of applications for various WBD brands in News, Sports, and Entertainment verticals. We work closely with our brand partners and act as a center of expertise, best practice, and continuous improvement in the field of quality engineering.
As a Staff QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring quality releases of CNN Digital products. Youll play a leading role to develop test plan and procedure, and work with Software Engineer in Test to build comprehensive and efficient test automation coverage. The ideal candidate has experience in developing test plans and test procedures for complex features, and leading testing efforts of multiple stable and scalable feature releases. Additionally, we are looking for a QE leader who cares about the user experience and has a passion for quality and test automation.
- Provide quality leadership and guidance to team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Lead project(s) and phases of testing cycles from planning, test development, and execution through deployment, ensuring the application meets quality standards.
- Design and develop test procedure to be automated.
- Collaborate with other engineers to build cohesive test automation approach to ensure that test automation is integrated effectively into the development process.
- Propose quality processes and best practices to build high quality software.
- Identify and contribute to resolution of complex technical challenges related to software testing, including diagnosing and debugging intricate issues.
- Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve our testing process.
- Work across multiple teams to drive technical solutions and influence decisions and outcomes.
- Provide mentoring to other engineers on your team. Coach and mentor up to Sr. QA Engineer level and provide input to leadership on development needs and growth opportunities for team members.
- Has proven ability to develop test strategy and define test approach to ensure high quality releases.
- In-depth knowledge of the mobile technology stack of the system
- Subject-matter expertise in Mobile app testing with a demonstrated pattern of releasing high quality software
- Working knowledge of Mobile Automation framework
- Ability to work on complex test design where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Experience with debugging tools and CI/CD process.
- Uses conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and implications. Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
- Strong knowledge and experience in multiple test types including unit, functional, integration, API, load and performance tests.
- Strong understanding of digital product development for web, mobile, ott, and backend infrastructure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with common software/testing tools such as Github, Jenkins, Charles Proxy, Postman, BrowserStack, etc.
- Experience in the media/entertainment space is a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoverys total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
