Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Staffing Coordinator to manage and coordinate scheduling for our nursing team, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment, communicates effectively with staff and leadership, and ensures appropriate staffing coverage to support quality resident care and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain weekly and monthly schedules for nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Ensure adequate staffing levels based on census, resident acuity, and budget guidelines. Fill open shifts promptly and manage call‑offs, schedule changes, and last‑minute coverage needs. Coordinate overtime, agency staffing, and additional shift coverage when necessary. Communicate schedule updates, changes, and staffing needs clearly to staff and leadership. Track and monitor attendance, PTO requests, and staffing trends. Maintain compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and labor laws related to staffing. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON), Human Resources, and department managers regarding staffing needs and workforce planning. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and scheduling data. Required Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous healthcare scheduling experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of nurse staffing ratios and long‑term care regulations preferred.
