Cloud Engineer We are looking for a strong, driven, and self-starting Cloud Engineer to join a fast-moving team, and lead the hardening of the infrastructure that supports a sophisticated financial data platform. You'll work closely with our CTO, Director of Engineering, and Platform team to support the services and applications that extract meaningful data from both structured and unstructured complex finance documents and deliver them to our clients.
You will own the AWS infrastructure where our applications and services reside. You will also own our CI/CD pipelines that enable our engineers to deploy quickly and reliably. You will work closely with our Platform team to setup, organize, and optimize the cloud services where our products operate.
Reports to: Director of Engineering
What You'll Do Own and manage our AWS infrastructure across both single tenant production and multi-tenant UAT environments. You will manage our cloud networks and services using Terraform.
Work with Engineering to build and deploy scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud-based solutions
Design, build, and improve our DevOps posture, including CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with repo and package management
Improve our site reliability, observability, and resiliency, and help support our on-call process
What We're Looking For Required:
9+ years of experience in a start-up, financial institution, and/or technology company
Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and cloud networking
Strong understanding of Docker, ECR (or equivalent), and container orchestration
Experience with GitLab and GitLab CI (or equivalents)
Experience with observability platforms (Datadog)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
