There is still a long way to go to bring Starlink everywhere as well as growing our existing markets, so we are looking for a Market Access Director to support our lead new market regulatory efforts, oversee business operations efforts for existing markets, and aid the business in identifying & nurture new commercial opportunities to grow our customer base. In this role, you will be a leader in a customer-facing team that is shaping Starlink's future presence around the world.Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth market research to assess demand, the competitive landscape, and any barriers to entryWork closely with Starlink's engineering, operations, logistics, legal, tax, and sales teams to align market development efforts with technical capabilities, product roadmaps, and compliance requirementsEffectively develop and grow a network of supportive stakeholders across the public and private sectors that can aid in promoting Starlink's growth in regionBuild and grow a pipeline of commercial opportunities for our Enterprise Sales team to convert into revenue-generating agreementsGather, retain, and service diverse customer requirements and work with the product engineering team to iterate on and improve SpaceX offerings to meet the needs of customers. Additionally, shape customer opportunities to fit Starlink product offeringsEnsuring we adhere to the administrative regulations in our licenses and address any compliance-related matters in a timely mannerIdentify, nurture, and close strategic connectivity opportunities with schools, hospitals, and other high-impact customers in markets you oversee as part of our corporate and social responsibility efforts.Work with the Strategic Connectivity team to execute and ensure delivery is timely and smoothSupport our Satellite Policy team in expanding the scope of services SpaceX/Starlink is able to offer in markets across your regionMonitor geopolitical, economic, and regulatory risks that could impact market access or ongoing regulatory complianceDevelop mitigation plans and contingency strategies to ensure business continuityTrack and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of new markets entered, regulatory approvals secured, partnership deals closed, and revenue contributions from business development initiativesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in an engineering, international relations, business, or a related field3+ years of experience in market access, business development, or regulatory affairs within the telecommunications, satellite, or technology sectorsPreferred Skills and Experience:5+ years' experience in market access, business development, or regulatory affairs within the telecommunications, satellite, or technology sectorsAbility to identify blockers and creatively find ways to overcome themExperience with global spectrum management, international trade, or business operations is highly desirableProven ability to negotiate complex deals and influence policy decisions at senior levelsStrong analytical skills in business with experience in market modeling, financial forecasting, and competitive intelligenceFluency in English plus French, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, or SpanishAdditional Requirements:Willingness to travel, up to 50% of the timeThis is NOT a remote position and would require being onsite in either Bastrop, TX or Redmond, WACompensation and Benefits:Pay range:Starlink Market Access Manager: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
