Job Overview

The Finance and Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the company, ensuring its continued growth and success. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, accounting, and operations management within the consulting industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives
    • Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
    • Manage cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking partners
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at the executive level
  • Operational Leadership
    • Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity across the organization
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations
    • Oversee project management and resource allocation to maximize profitability
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of financial and operational strategies
  • Team Management
    • Lead and mentor the finance and operations teams
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
    • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members
  • Strategic Planning
    • Participate in setting overall business strategy as a member of the executive team
    • Identify opportunities for business growth and cost optimization
    • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships from a financial and operational perspective

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and operations roles
    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position within the consulting industry
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience with ERP systems and financial software
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
