Sterile Processing Manager

Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (flexible based on department needs)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Compensation: $52,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Available on a case-by-case basis
Relocation Assistance: Starting at $5,000
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package


Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to support a high-performing Surgical Services department. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with strong operational, regulatory, and team development experience within sterile processing environments. The organization is a Magnet®-recognized facility and a Level II Trauma Center, offering a fast-paced and quality-driven clinical setting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with departmental leadership to oversee daily sterile processing operations

  • Support staff recruitment, retention, training, and ongoing competency validation

  • Ensure compliance with sterilization standards, aseptic technique, and infection prevention protocols

  • Maintain high-quality instrumentation processing and efficient workflows across all service lines

  • Collaborate closely with the Operating Room and specialty departments to align workflows

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and recommend strategies for resource optimization

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and positive engagement across clinical teams

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Sterile Processing experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

  • Completion of a Two-Year Surgical Technology program or

  • CRCST certification (IAHCSMM/HSPA) or

  • CSPDT certification

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation, aseptic technique, and infection control standards

  • Experience with SPM Workflow systems preferred

  • Surgery Center leadership experience will be considered
