Sterile ProcessorFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in New Albany, Ohio. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as a Sterile Processing TechnicianValid CSPDT or CRCST certificationPreferred Qualifications:BLS (AHA/ARC) certificationOther certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:A sterile processing technician plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety by sterilizing, assembling, and maintaining surgical and medical equipment in compliance with established infection control standards. This role also includes inventory management, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure efficient operations and timely availability of supplies.Essential Work Functions:Receive and process used surgical instruments and equipment components, ensuring proper handling and transport between designated cleaning or sterilization areas and procedure roomsSort and distribute equipment to appropriate areas for cleaning/sterilization and disassembly, verifying that instruments sets are functional and completeMaintain and monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment. Replenish and deliver sterile trays, instruments, and supplies to various departments in a timely fashionFoster effective communication with clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of sterilization processes and equipment availabilityAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
