Job Summary

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of materials into, within, and out of the storeroom. This role supports plant operations by receiving, storing, issuing, and returning parts while maintaining inventory accuracy through proper labeling, cycle counts, and documentation. The Attendant also assists with replenishing remote storage locations, delivering parts throughout the plant, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Strong attention to detail, organization, and compliance with safety and 5S standards are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Material Receiving & Storage

Receive incoming materials and ensure proper put-away

Label bins and parts accurately

Issuing & Returns

Process parts issuances and returns

Replenish remote storerooms

Deliver parts to plant locations as needed

Inventory Management

Stock and reorder inventory

Maintain accurate inventory labeling

Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments

Relocate inventory as required

Housekeeping & System Maintenance

Maintain storeroom cleanliness

Adhere to 5S and safety standards

Required Skills & Competencies

GED required; High School Diploma preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Basic computer proficiency

High attention to detail for accurate tracking and labeling

Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination

Physical ability to lift, move, and stock parts

Additional Information

Duration: 06 Months with possibility of extension

Location: Vance, AL 35490

Shift hours: M-F, 6:30 AM 2:30 PM
