IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Lead to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. ITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs EDATS communications strategies and programs to align with SOCOM, SIE PMO, and Mission Partners.
  • Directs and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote program initiatives and capabilities across both USSOCOM and the EDATS program.
  • Conducts research and evaluates communication initiatives to assess outcomes creating process improvement for more effective and strategically aligned communication services and methods.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies in response to crises or sensitive issues, ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled dissemination of information.
  • Create and approve key communication materials, including press releases, speeches, reports, and digital content, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and compliant with DoD messaging standards.

Location: On-site in Tampa, FL

Requirements

  • Senior level: 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree.

Substitutions for education:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
  • 12 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Developing long-term communication strategies that align with DoD objectives, anticipate challenges, and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Expertise in managing high-pressure situations, crafting messaging during crises, and mitigating communication risks.
  • Effective communication, coordination and attention to detail across multiple levels to ensure consistent and unified messaging in large organizations such as US SOCOM.
  • Deep understanding of media relations, including experience in managing press briefings, issuing statements, and responding to inquiries from media outlets.
  • Strong writing and editing skills are a must, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned communication materials, including press releases, reports, and digital content.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • ability to work with Teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own.
  • Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have at a minimum active DOD Secret, TS/SCI may be required for some positions.
