Strategic Sourcing Manager - LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY
Location: Hadley, MA (100% On-Site)
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $110K-$120K base salary + bonus potential
A growing, mission-driven organization is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to own and grow a portfolio of supplier partnerships that serve a broad and engaged member community.
This role is ideal for procurement professionals with experience in account management, business development or consultative sales who enjoy building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving mutually beneficial outcomes. You’ll act as a trusted partner to suppliers & members, bringing new offerings to market, telling a compelling value story, and expanding participation, while also managing the full contract lifecycle from opportunity identification through performance optimization.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a highly visible role, working cross-functionally to align supplier capabilities with member needs, uncover growth opportunities, and deliver measurable value through strong partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and strategically position a supplier portfolio to drive value and encourage supplier participation
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers aligned with member needs and purchasing trends
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while actively promoting supplier products and services to members
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including market research, RFPs, bid processes, evaluations, and contract awards
- Monitor supplier and contract performance using data-driven insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally to expand and evolve contract offerings in response to changing member needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in consultative sales, strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management involving goods and services across multiple categories
- Proven ability to build, grow, and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships through standout service and trusted-advisor engagement
- Highly skilled in consultative selling, with the ability to tell compelling stories, articulate value, and influence decisions through insight-driven conversations
- Results-oriented and motivated by goals, challenges, and measurable outcomes
- MCPPO certification preferred (or willingness to obtain with organizational support)
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, fully in-office environment and values face-to-face partnership
