We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer–Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation Practice in our Dayton, Ohio office. Annual Compensation: $95,000 – $185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards. Bridge Engineering Project Manager Essential Functions Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio. Point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager. Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects. Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects. Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices. On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design. Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects. Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing. Assist in informal development of other employees. Other duties as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. P.E. license required. Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus. Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering. Experience working with DOTs required. Project team leadership experience. Project and client management experience. Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required. MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil‑3D software experience is preferred.
