Structural Concrete Estimator/Project Manager

Role Description The Structural Concrete Estimator/Project Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Hillside, IL. This role is responsible for preparing detailed estimates for structural and flatwork concrete projects, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, and proposal development. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and negotiating material and labor costs. The individual will manage awarded projects through planning, scheduling, and overseeing field execution, ensuring work meets safety, quality, and budget expectations. The role also involves regular site visits, progress tracking, change order management, and communication with clients, architects, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and resolve issues promptly. Qualifications Demonstrated experience with structural concrete work, including formwork and flatwork. Knowledge of heavy equipment used in concrete construction and site operations. Understanding of ready mix concrete properties, placement, and finishing practices. Prior experience estimating and managing concrete or general construction projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with diverse project stakeholders. Proficiency with estimating software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office. Relevant field experience in concrete construction; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
