Primary Responsibilities Have proficient understanding of building gravity and lateral analysis as well as design of steel, concrete, and masonry systems
Be proficient in the use of Revit to model the building elements that you design
Design engineering systems for large complex buildings in Health, Civic, Education and/or Science/Technology industries
Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and coordinate with other disciplines on resolutions.
Mentor younger staff on contract document development, performing calculations, and code interpretations.
Develop drawings, write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, interpret code provisions, and complete necessary calculations
Communicate effectively to all disciplines on the team.
Participate in quality control reviews and collaboratively resolve issues.
Throughout construction of the building you will need to respond to requests for information, change proposal requests, shop drawings, and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering; Structural emphasis

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
Previous structural engineer experience
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
