Now Hiring: Structural Engineer, PE Connect Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer, PE for a direct‑hire opportunity supporting engineering projects at a major government facility in Houston, TX (77058). This position is ideal for a highly skilled engineer with experience in structural analysis, facility modifications, building design, and engineering assessments. The selected candidate will work on‑site supporting critical infrastructure and facility projects. Responsibilities Perform structural analyses using applicable load conditions and engineering principles. Evaluate structural integrity of existing buildings and facility structures. Prepare engineering calculations, reports, structural assessments, and margins of safety documentation. Develop structural engineering designs, layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and installation packages. Support planning, design, modification, and maintenance projects involving existing facilities and infrastructure. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project execution. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) License required. Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience. Experience with structural design and analysis of existing buildings and facilities. Strong knowledge of: AISC ACI AWS D1.1 Structural design standards and procedures Experience with building modifications, facility upgrades, and infrastructure projects. Technical Skills Experience with: RISA-3D ENERCALC AutoCAD MicroStation Revit MathCAD Microsoft Office Suite Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain required site access credentials. Valid Texas Driver's License required. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting government facilities or installations. Prior experience working on NASA or other federal projects. Experience with existing facility infrastructure and renovation projects.
