Position Summary Navarro Research & Engineering isseekinga highly experienced Structural Engineer Consultant to serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for structural engineering projects supporting Department of Energy (DOE), nuclear, industrial, and government facilities. Provide independent technical oversight and professional engineering approvalofstructural analyses, calculations, specifications, and design drawings. Independently verify engineering deliverablesrepresentsafe, complete, and defensible designs suitable for professional certification. Required Licensure A currentand active Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license isrequired. MustmaintainTennessee PE registration in good standing throughout the duration of the assignment. Responsible for sealing engineering documents for Tennessee projects. Essential Responsibilities Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR). Review GT STRUDL analytical models, structural calculations, design reports, construction drawings, specifications, design change packages, and design methodologies. Validate loads, load combinations, modeling assumptions, boundary conditions, and design criteria. Review structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, equipment supports, seismic, wind, dynamic, impact, and specialty analyses. Verify compliance with building codes, engineering standards, DOE requirements, and project specifications. Coordinate resolution of technical comments and deficiencies. Provide technical review comments and approval documentation. Stamp and sign engineering documents only after independent verification. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringwith a concentration in Structural Engineering. Active Tennessee PE license. Minimum of10years of structural engineering experience. Engineer of Record or Lead Structural Engineer experience. Advanced GT STRUDLproficiency. Experience reviewing structural calculations and engineering deliverables prepared by others. Extensive experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundation design, finite element analysis, seismic and dynamic analysis. Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC Steel Manual, and ACI 318. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications DOE, NNSA, nuclear, or highly regulated facility experience. NQA-1 independent design verification experience. Technical review experience for GT STRUDL models and finite element analyses. Familiarity with ANSYS,STAAD.Pro, RISA, and Mathcad. Experience with safety-significant or safety-class structures. PreviousEngineer of Record experience on industrial, government, or nuclear projects.
