About the job Structural Engineer 4- Water The Opportunity: Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. Expand knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas. Key Responsibilities: Execute complex structural analysis, perform calculations, and prepare sketches and drawings for the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities, and other complex structural facilities. Work within a team of Structural Engineers (both in the US and in overseas offices) to execute projects. Supervise Structural Technicians in preparation of structural drawings and specifications. Perform construction phase engineering duties such as site visits, responding to RFIs, and review of contractor submittals. Perform project administrative tasks, which may include any/all of the following: preparation of design fee estimates, monitoring progress against budget and schedule, management of project changes, and implementation of Quality Control requirements. Coordinate work with architects and other discipline engineers. Ability to lead a team to execute moderately complex projects with construction values of up to $10M Understand and follow departmental standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts. Preferred Qualifications: Licensed as a Professional Engineer in an US state, by examination. Proficiency with use of non-structural software packages such as Bluebeam, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Revit. Familiarity with the latest editions of the International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 350, ACI 318, AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 530. Proficiency with use of structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAADPro, or SAP 2000. Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience For this position you must have a valid PE license. #J-18808-Ljbffr
