Position Overview

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our growing engineering team. This role involves the design, analysis, and coordination of structural systems for public works and private sector projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

This position includes responsibilities in design, project management, construction administration, and client interaction, offering a well-rounded opportunity for professional growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structural systems for bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure projects.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.

  • Conduct field assessments and site visits to evaluate conditions and provide technical recommendations.

  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other design professionals to coordinate project requirements.

  • Participate in client and municipal meetings, presenting technical findings and project updates.

  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery.

  • Provide mentorship and review work prepared by junior engineers, CAD designers, and drafters.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • 2–5+ years of structural engineering experience.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey preferred.

  • Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD/MicroStation.

  • Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam for design collaboration and document management.

  • Knowledge of public works projects and municipal design standards.

  • Experience coordinating design review meetings and construction administration tasks.

  • Strong understanding of system design principles and project coordination.
