Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Structural Fitter for a company based in Cullman, AL. In this job, you will be working in a fabrication facility to aid and assist with manufacturing and installation of various industrial machines.

Pay Rate
$22-$26 (based on experience)

Schedule and Hours
Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm

Structural Fitter Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret shop drawings to determine layout / assembly procedures.
- Fabrication / shop assembly of structural steel components, ensuring accuracy & adherence to plan dimensions and requirements.
- Fabrication / shop assembly of miscellaneous steel components for stairs, handrails, & ladders.
- Measure, cut, shape, & tack weld steel materials such as beams, plates, tubes, pipes, etc., using tools such as saws, torches, plasma cutter, grinders.
- Perform quality checks to verify dimensions, alignment, & welds.
- Needs strong knowledge of fabrication techniques.
- Must have proven experience as a structural / miscellaneous steel fitter.
Structural Fitter Qualifications and Requirements
- Mechanical experience a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Will be performing other tasks besides welding
